What was the intent of this issue? Should we repeat the protobuf API documentation?

IIRC this issue was a reaction on several questions on how to access image data in an efficient way. The intent would not be to reiterate the documentation but give some hints on how to use the API in an efficient way. From my perspective the canonical use case is rst.vision.Image
.
