Redmine Bug #1659 (Rejected): debian package librstconverters0.9 seems to have old naming conventionshttps://code.cor-lab.de/issues/16592013-11-19T18:17:42ZC. Emmerichcemmeric@cor-lab.de

I installed librstconverters0.9 debian package on my laptop, but running rsb-examples results in

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
what(): Failed to load plugin `rsbrstconvertersrci' as requested via configuration: Failed to load plugin `rsbrstconvertersrci' from shared object `/usr/lib/rsb0.9/plugins/librsbrstconvertersrci.so.0.9': librsc.so.0.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

So the good news is, rsbrstconvertersrci seems to be included in this package (as this was a question of mine I discussed with Jan and Johannes) but the package seems to be broken concerning the naming conventions: there actually is no librsc.so.0.9 in my system, but I found:

librsc0.9.so librsc0.9.so.0.9 librsc.so librsc.so.0.7

When building with rst converters on lucit 32bit the following error occurs

It seems as if system libraries are missing (so maybe missing dependencies in debian package config).
Bug #1352 (Closed): Debian package uses /usr/local prefixhttps://code.cor-lab.de/issues/13522013-01-24T11:26:13ZJ. Moringenjmoringe@cor-lab.uni-bielefeld.deSupport #1284 (Rejected): Is the special PYTHONPATH handling for RST neccessary? https://code.cor-lab.de/issues/12842012-12-06T16:59:45ZD. Klotzdklotz@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de

The RSB python packages (at least when installed through PyPI, don't know about manual installations) are installed in a way that only having the .../site-packages folder of the installation prefix is enough to have python finding the packages/modules. With RST this is not the case and you have to put the .egg files themselves on the PYTHONPATH, which is a bit cumbersome and really clutters the PYTHONPATH.

I don't really have a clue about python packaging, so I'm quite puzzled why this is necessary in one case (RST) and not in the other (RSB) and if there is no possibility of building RST in a way that makes this unnecessary.
Bug #1218 (Rejected): There is no Debian package for rst-converters without humavips in its namehttps://code.cor-lab.de/issues/12182012-10-23T21:33:41ZJ. Moringenjmoringe@cor-lab.uni-bielefeld.de

This is confusing since "humavips" is not explained in the description of the package.

Is the "humavips" tag necessary?
